If the house is your main residence then you don't have to pay any capital gains tax.
Hi, my question is similar to Steve's. I own a flat abroad which I'm going to sell as I am now working in the UK. This flat was my main residence for 7 years (not a holiday home, I was working!) and has been empty since I've moved here, where I'm renting (obviously eager to get my own place, fed up with dodgy landlords and real estate agents!).
Will I still be available to the full rebate on Capital Gains Tax relief?
Thanks very much in advance.
