Should I just take Traveller's Cheques or Cash ?

Further to my previous question, I can't use a debit card in Thailand unless I want to pay commission. So what should I do, take cash/baht and/or travellers cheques ??

ATM cards work, and some don't charge commission, check with your bank. A holiday's worth of cash is a grand prize indeed for anyone interested. Therefore TC are a lot safer, but ATM cards normally cheaper (even if they charge, take out a larger sum rather daily spending money).

Will draw out larger amounts as I go along. So cheap out there, hopefully I won't need much !!

Just remember you ARE paying commission (though it won't necessarily be called that) on cash and travellers cheques. Often more than you would on the debit card.

Don't take much Thai Baht take Uk notes and change them over there, you will get a much better rate in Thailand
