1.) My father-in Law has left my mother in law for another woman, he has bought a house with this other woman and now lives with her. When the divorce goes through, how much of this house will my mother in law be entitled to?


2.) My mother in law has just been left a sum of money in from a will. The will was written before she got married. When the diverce goes through, will my father in law be entitled to a she of this?

Your mother in law could try a law centre (ask the CAB to direct her to her local one).  As far as I know it is a very tricky area as under the Matrimonial Causes Act, the Court has very wide discretion as to what orders to make where a married couple are divorcing (as opposed to an unmarried couple splitting up); hence it is impossible to advise someone without detailed knowledge of their financial circumstances.  I am writing this as general advice because I am not a solicitor, or even au fait with these matters.
