Does anyone know if emails are sent to you by HMRC advising of tax rebates...i got one but am worried to open it in case it is a virus or phishing scam.

ok...ok factor 30 ...keep yer hair on....i did not see any of yesterdays questions/answers.
I get these from time to time in my spam folder, report it straight away to [email protected] - The Inland Revenue would never send you any messages like this by email, they would write to you at home.

Hi LD_DOLL1611- I simply pointed out that this had been answered yesterday and thought I was being helpful by including a link for you. What's wrong with that?

Your comment about the length of my question....I have only just joined answerbank and thought it was out of order.
No point reporting them to anyone. That makes you as bad as the spammer.
Of course they are scams! Do they mention you by name? Does the link take you to a valid website? no.

His comment wasn't about the length of your question but that you posted the question in the title box and nothing at all in the question box.

It does get to be a pain in the backside if you use this site regularly when people do that. It makes browsing the new questions slightly irritating.
