... a credit card while I'm on holiday?
It would just be for a couple of months. I wouldn't want to use computers in internet cafes to access my account.

Did the firm in question give you a Direct Debit form to fill in, if not they should.
In short, it should be no problem.

Not a problem - other than many CC companies require a bit of notice to set up a DD. It often takes effect from your next statement but one. So if you are going in the near future there may not be time.

Another possible solution - set up a standing order with your bank. You'll need to guess the amount but it can be done virtually immediately
