20 pence with no date

My daughter got one in her change, are they as rare as they are reported to be. She is dreaming of £5,000 upwards as seen on E Bay, but I am sceptical. Any thoughts please.

when the first one with no date was noticed it sold for a silly price then the mint checked and found a run involving thousands of coins had been made, as factor30 the Mint would pay £50 for them but while not being common they aren't rare enough to warrant really high prices

No problem mate, I remember when it first came out about these coins every shop you went in you would see everybody checking their change, myself included but I never found anything, I think I'd be inclined wrap it in cotton wool and put it away, as I said they're not rare but not common so who knows In a few years the value might rise a bit.
