Salary protection payments?

If someone brings out salary protection and are then made redundant, can they keep paying their premiums and receive their payments until they find work or does the plans only pay out for a year?

I think it depends on the terms and conditions of the policy one has. I can't see them paying forever and won't the money received affect benefits?

Depends on the policy wording. They're usually 12 months, but I have seen 24.
