Mastercard secure code?

How do I get one? Just trying to pay for something online and they are asking for one!

click forgotten code and it will ask you security questions then you can generate one

As Pea Pod indicates, the security code (on any debit or credit card) is the last three numbers on the signature strip of the card.

last 3 digits is CV2 The secure code is when your purchasing something online it will ask for 6-8 digits from your code

Angry....Its says I have to re-enrol - I havent enrolled in the first place!

it always does that... when your get to purchase screen and that box pops up, you can either re-enrol (which it said for me the first time i used it) or if your not bothered Your card should have protection on it anyway. If its natwest and you use online banking its the same password for your online banking

(pea pod) it depends where your purchasing from some sites wont have the facility to buy with secure mode

I had this with one of my cards, it only happens with some cards - it's an added security. I've found however that you can register while you're still doing your buying - I guess it depends which bank you are with.

That's odd. It should be asking for a 'Verified by Visa' code:
http://www.visaeurope...verified_by_visa.aspx

However, all electronic payment calls (using either system) are diverted to the relevant bank for authorisation. So entering a 'Verified by Visa' code should take you order through to Capital One, which will confirm to the vendor that it's the correct code for that card.

Yes I did an online shop with Ocado and that popped up, was easy to sign to, but was relevant to my VISA card.

Thanks everyone! Pea....thanks for that link with Capital - just registered now.....gone back to the payment page and my shopping basket is now empty ...have to start all over again.. good job there is nothing to watch on the tele !!!

well I give up!! Just been on capital one link to register my card and now its saying the damn card number is incorrect!!!!
