Budgeting Spreadsheet

Does anyone know the best way to do a budget spreadsheet I tried to download the one on the Martin Lewis website but it was just gobbliegook - any help would be much appreciated before I lose this will to take charge of my finance in 2011.

I assume you have a PC and Microsoft Office? If you are using Excel, there should be a template for a personal monthly budget spreadsheet included. I have office 2007 and the template is called PersonalMonthlyBudget.xlt. Open a file and have Excel look for templates. All Office templates should be in the "Microsoft Office" folder in your c:\program files directory, in a subdirectory called "templates".

what about the National Debtline website, or any other similar organisations - Im sure they would have a template you could use.
