There is probably no law against you advertising your business on the back of your vehicle especially when you see all the driving school's cars etc. around, plus vans and lorries!

As for insurance, approach a broker as they would know what sort of risks you need covered, which depends on the business you are starting, and which insurers are in that market.
You may well need Public Liability Insurance Jonah. That covers you for almost any problems involving the public such as accident or injury. There's always someone who will try to sue you for the most ridiculous reason. I was in business for 12 years. Go and speak to three different brokers then make your decision.
What kind of business
You can advertise your business on any vehicle without breaking any laws relating to the display of advertising. However, even though you might be using your car solely for non-business journeys, your insurer might take the view that carrying the advertising constituted 'business use' of the vehicle.
