Thanks. I think I would find it quite hard to spend £40 at Aldi - I haven`t managed it yet. Not because I don`t like Aldi because I do but because their prices are so reasonable.
I don't buy an awful lot of different stuff, just a lot of the same stuff (for example, my lot go through about 15 litres of juice a week and twenty five little cartons too).
I get most of the basics from Aldi these days - eggs, milk, chopped tomatoes, minced turkey, kitchen roll etc. I still shop at Sainsburys because we have two branches here. What is interesting is that I have always used my Nectar points to buy the champagne for christmas day and I used to have about £30 worth of points at christmas but even though I now shop less at Sainsburys, I still have the same amount of points. That just shows how much their prices have increased.
I find Sainsbury and Tesco really expensive but even my Asda shopping (buy roughly the same stuff each week ) has gone up from around £80 to over £100 in a short space of time (I've noticed there aren't so many 'offers' these days).
