I could cry buckets

younger son has moved out for a couple of days. He said he'll be back on Wednesday.
(He's stopping at his autnie's round the corner) No argument between him, me and/or his dad. The four of us live together, my husband, me him and his brother.
I think it's just space he needs. I hope so.
He does get space and no-one is on his case, he doesn't have a case to get on.
Sorry for the blurb, I miss him already.
I'll be a completely rambling wreck when they get their own places :)

I know it's hard love, but try not to worry, he's with somebody you know and trust, and he'll be safe. He'll soon miss the comforts of home, or his fav meal - or the way you wash his Tee shirts. Quietly tell his aunt not to spoil him, and when you see him, you can say that you respect he needs space - but he can't go round treating your and other people's homes like a hotel it's not fair on anybody

many thanks for taking the time to post folks. Much appreciated. xx
He'll be getting spoilt rotten anyway, his auntie is such a warm-hearted generous person ( I love her!!)
Apologies for the delay in replying to your posts.
The first year my eldest went away on a camp (He was about 8) I cried buckets, the following year his brother was also due to go. Woo-hoo, a week without both of 'em. Unfortunately the scouts closed and there was no trip. They were really upset.

When My Son left home for Uni I cryed for a month He was 19 years old. When He rang Me I'd be all happy on the phone then I'd cry after He had hung up. Then My Hubby said the following--
"This has gone on long enough, You are going to make yourself ill.
All over the Country there are 1,000's of Mothers crying like you, the difference being that their kid's are fighting in wars and ours is in York having a ball.
Alba it sure stopped the tears ha ha.
Has he got something He's worried about?

Not as far as we know, his aunty has always spoiled him and his older brother.
Texted him today (and have phoned him inbetween this post and preivous ones)
He was wondering where everyone was. Told him at the usual place (i.e. here)
I'm laying low waiting for the favourite fabric softener etc. I miss him hugely tho.
I want him home.

i think it is natural to feel as you are, I am exactly the same and nothing will change me. I have two boys love them to bits, and the eldest left home several times under most difficult circumstances and against our advice but always came back eventually, but he has now settled in a little flat on his own and I am happy for him. The youngest is still at home and I dread the day he ever says hes leaving, event though I joke with him now about if you dont like it you have another option TO LEAVE! He knows I dont mean it..we are just natural mothers how it should be so dont feel bad and as everyone says hell be back soon and at least you know he is safe! xx
