Wedding speech help
4 Answers
I am giving away my mum's half sister at her wedding in a few weeks, (so she's kind of my aunty although she's younger than me) as her dad has died (my grandad). I'm really stumped as to what to say in my speech at the reception, can anyone help? Thanks

Thank everyone for coming.
Mention that she's like your aunty and her dad (if appropriate)
e.g I am honoured to take the place of (granddad), he would have been proud to see his daughter getting married etc.
It doesn't need to be long, and you could write it down, not to read from, but to look at if you forget what you were going to say.
Also, see if you can use a microphone, the venue may have one
