I am getting married next week, and am so worried about the weather. Has anyone got married and it rained really heavy. How did you cope...did it spoil the day? Please put my mind at rest, I am so worried!

packmalp 1, congratulations on your forthcoming marriage. Don't worry about the weather; it won't matter a jot! I got married on a ferociously windy and cloudy day. My photographer had special pegs to pin my dress down on the grass for the photos and he was relieved it was cloudy because the photos come out better! When my brother got married, it was raining so hard, all the pictures had to be taken inside the church. We all thought it was a real hoot and many jokes were cracked. Getting married isn't about the weather - you know that really! Just enjoy the day and stop worrying. Have a lovely day - whatever the weather - and have a truly wonderful marriage.
Hi Puddi and Ali.....................don't worry Packy...............I played at a lot of weddings this summer with my band..........and I can't remember one with good weather...........it made no difference. The venue always has an indoor alternative.......................plenty of fizz and a few speeches and everyone's having a ball :o)
Very best wishes to you - have a great day
