Do not know what to do
8 Answers
My life lately has been horrible. i found out that my girlfriend has been cheating on me, one of my great friends commited suicide, my parents think I am a drug dealer, im failing almost all of my classes and look to be going nowhere in life. I feel i suffer from depression seen as i often find myself wondering why i am even here and who even cares about me. I was very close to getting a shot-gun from my basement about an hour ago, then i realized it would probably be the last mistake of my life. I am afraid that this might happen again only this time i might actually do it. please tell me what you think i should do.

Your parents must care about you for the fact they are concerned that you may be a drug dealer! Your gf was obviously not the "one" for you.....I had a very close friend that commited suicide, and that is hard to deal with, and raises all sorts of questions in your head which is not pleasant, but over time this will become easier to live with....it sounds as though you thoughts are running away with themselves and there all bad/negative feelings, not good, you need to take control of these feelings and try and get some perspective on things....I would go to the doctors and see what help is available to you and maybe take up some excersize, it releases "feel good" chemicals into the body (cant remember what they are called) When things are bad you start to sink, when you should be swimming all the way!!!! Best of luck to you x
Your welcome! If you dont know how to tell your parents, why dont you write it in a letter....If I were feeling like you at your age I would have hated the thought of telling my mum n dad, but im a parent myself now, and would be horrified and upset if I thought my child was going through this without telling me....im sure they will support you, after all, they love ya!!!! x
First off, call the Samaritans tonight. They will give you a listening ear and some first level counselling to get you through your immediate crisis, and if your troubles continue, they'll always be there for you.
In the morning, phone your doctor and make an appointment to see him or her. Depression is a very real illness that the medical profession takes a lot more seriously than it used to.
Please don't do nothing, and don't do anything silly either. Your life is far too precious to end, no matter how sh1te it might feel to you right now.

All good advice here Kyle. Write your parents a letter, explaining how you feel, and that you're going to visit your doctor. Ditto with a decent teacher at school. Then make an appointment to chat with someone in the medical profession, and be honest. If you have any counselling services in your area. phone them. Are you in the UK? At 16 years of age, your hormones are running riot, and teenagers often feel angry or depressed until these stabilise. You need to talk - friends, parents, teachers..whoever you feel might listen. Think positively if possible hun, because you could have a wonderful life ahead of you. gGod luck.
