Child maintainance

I am starting my own business and want to know if my partners ex is entitled to any of my earnings through child maintainance?

Probably your partner's earnings, but not yours I don't think.  Since the child is not yours.

I would think if your partner and his ex have a legal agreement, she/he has no rights regarding future earnings.   When I divorced my ex we had a solicitor draw up a document with an annual 11% increase, his wages are much higher now that they were then and I cannot ask for any increase in maintenance.  If it is done through the Law he /she/you should be o.k.

Be careful. If you are married to your partner or living with them, they may take your earnings into concideration and you don't want to be paying for some else's child do you? You need to find out. Ring the CSA and ask them. Also get it in writing if they say no just incase.

No your earnings would not be effected. no matter the situation they are his children it is his earnings and his responsibility that the CSA or any other organisation will look to.

I think Doll is right re taking your earnings into account - at least if you are married. You Do need to check with either the CSA or a solicitor.

I think they are, well not your earnings but the CSA see it as he is sharing the bills/cost of living (if living together) with you so he can therefore afford to pay more ...
