Is there ant such thing as a spoilt child

I have just met a child from school.
After a comment it would appear there is now no such thing as a spoilt child a thick child an attention seeking child and plain nasty child. Do the parents go spend a few hours on the internet and give them special names?

That means that 9 out of 10 people DONT have the disorder, bur I have admitted that it DOES exist, but not to the popular extent.

Nice post Noxxy, and totally agree however it doesn't detract from the fact that these children can have these labels, no matter who's fault it is.

I also agree with Bobbs, i hesitate to use the word "thick" and I don't think I would about a child, dunno why but above all the other examples this seems the cruelest thing to call them.

Ok. If you have a "Vicky Pollard" and she has all her assessments confirming she has not got a "special" condition. What I am saying is no one is assessed as spoilt etc they are all assessed as something "special"

No Suetheramble, after all the clinical tests were exhausted they would not give a diagnosis unless the results had proved that she suffered from a certain condition.

They dont label people of having a certain complaint unless it is professionally diagnosed, they dont just pick a diagnosis out of a bag like some seem to think.

A learning difficulty is a bit more than just being slow or thick as some would like to think. these are proven conditions!

you didnt say if the person "labelling" the child was another parent, a teacher, a GP, a consultant, someone from the education authority.

No some are officially labelled others their mothers say they have problems. Cancers is not a label it is a disease.
What percentage of a class are normal - spoilt - thick - and special. Today there are only 2 categories normal and special what has happened to the other 2?
