I don't think depriving children of a relationship with there father if it is a good stable one is a good idea. Children need both parents. I can understand if they have no contact but like I said you don't give much away. Go speak to a solicitor before you make any big decisions.
As far as I am aware having had a similar problem, if you have joint care and control but they live with you all the time then there is not a lot your ex can do about it.
Providing you do not obstruct him seeing them by saying no then where you live is not something he can control. You could emigrate to Australia and he could do nothing about it.
It is unfair but the parent with residence can basically do what they like. I am not saying this is right but that is the way it stands.
However if they live with him then it would be different.
I believe if you can show that you need to emigrate for your livelihood, I don't think they could stop you. They would not keep you here drawing the dole when you have the opportunity of a career abroad (assuming the children are minors from your first marriage, living with you and your 2nd husband).
