Paracetamol is the only safe thing unfortunately, so take that and have some warm drinks to soothe your throat.

Hope you feel better soon

ratbag is right there paracetamol is the only thing you can take as asprin thin the blood and there is not safe for your baby.
Get a doctor's opinion before taking paracetamol.

OBonio - Paracetamol is perfectly safe during pregnancy - any doctor or pharmacist will confirm this.

And you know the patient well enough to say this?
Just to add some more serious info to my rather sarcastic comment above (sorry, this heat is getting to me I think!). The doctor may only recommend taking 1 tablet instead of the 'recommended' dosage. Also, if there are any liver complications then he may not recommend taking any....

I know you can take paracetamol in pregnancy (my wife is at the moment... due 2 weeks tomorrow... weeeeeee) but you must NEVER take medical advice from these message boards. Speak to your mid-wife or your GP first, please.
When I had a very heavy cold and was also very heavily pregnant with twins and got very little sleep my GP said it was perfectly safe to take Night Nurse which is paracetmol based.  Best night's sleep I had had for weeks!  Double check with your Pharmacist though.
