A - threw marbles in someone's face who was playing with them. Would you tell them off? Or say nothing at all to your child?

B - was sitting at the dinner table and was crying for food on the guests plate? Would you remove the food from the guests plate and let your child eat it to stop them being upset?

Not sure what's normal as I'm not a parent.

1. Yes, I'd tell off the child.
B. No, I wouldn't give my child the food from a guest's plate.
Have you seen these two incidents happen?
Depends on the age of the child but...

A - Punish them.

B - Remove the child from the table.
A Remove them from the game of marbles and let it continue without them, then make them apologise to the child they had thrown at, explaining what they had done wrong.

B Tell them to stop crying (I am presuming they had finished their own meal?) and if they continued remove them from the table and explain why.

You have not said the age of the child.
A. Take the marbles off the child and tell him,/ her off, then explain why they shouldn't have done it.

BB - yeah they 100% happened and I'm not sure if I was over thinking this as I don't have children so I'm not sure what's normal and what's not

Is it involving the same child you were thinking of here?

A) Tell them off and send then to their rooom
B) No I would not remove the food from the guests plate but ask the child why they wanted to eat the food and if there was any spare give it to them -why would a child be crying for food from someone else plate?
So what happened in the incidents you witnessed?
A. Tell them off

B. From my personal experience most of my guests would give the child the food from their plate
Well my answers stand, it matters how you explain given the age.

eg " You've had your dinner love, so stop crying or I'll have to take you out'.
Perhaps if guest offered some to child, especially if toddler, then that might appease child. If not try and encourage child to eat their own. If that fails, take him/her out to let guest eat in peace!
I don't think you need to be a parent to decide what is normal. You were brought up by parents, that gives you an example; plus no one gets a degree course in parenting before getting the job.

Not a parent but:

a) Tell them in a stern voice that, that was naughty and daddy was not pleased, and never wants them to do that ever again.

b) Tell the child that they have their own food and it was naughty to be making a fuss trying to get someone else's and it must stop.

Of course it also depends on whether this was a first offence or the umpteenth offence.
I was once at a picnic where a small child tried to grab my food every time I lifed it to my mouth, despite having her own food. The mother did nothing. I eventually tried to appease the child by offering her a cake I was about to eat. She still cried for everything I ate. Ver annoying.
You bring your child up properly in the first place so as not to be faced with these problems!! Simple really, mine wouldn't have done such things because they knew better. To add to this tale of woe and the parenting today...in an A n E situation waiting to be seen by medical staff, a mother and young daughter came in to take a seat. The mother said to the daughter...the only seats are the child's one there where you can sit and I will sit in this one. The child said she wasn't going to sit in the child's seat, so the mother sat there and the child sat on the 'adult' seat!! Hmmm yea right, in my day you did as you were told.
Should have asked the child in a loud voice, "Oh you poor thing, do you not have a mummy or a daddy that can teach you right from wrong ?"
A) if it's the first time,I'd remove the child and explain that throwing things at others faces was wrong and could hurt them. If it's happened before,I'd remove the child from the situation.
B) if the child had finished their own food,I'd offer them a bit more. If not, and the child was just being naughty,I'd not allow my guest to offer them any...that would just encourage the bad behaviour.
Why would any properly brought up child react in this way???
^^^^ "terrible 3's"??
They don't yet have a lot of self control and are testing boundaries.
