He may have picked up an infection - give your GP or midwife a call and advise them of the symptoms.

i'm sure he's absolutely fine.  His poo will have changed from yellow mustard seeds to green as he has begun to process his food better.  His digestive system will continue to change until he is on solids.  Bottle fed babies don't go through the green poo stage as the feed is completely different.  Breast fed babies also have smellier wind and poo.  The only obvious down side to breast feeding.
Don't forget that whatever you are eating will affect your baby's digestion too. I can't agree that  a breast-fed baby produces smellier wind and poo (unless their mum has gone overboard on the rhubarb crumble or vindaloo curry!) and there's certainly far less of it compared to the poo produced by a bottle-fed baby.
also does your baby have any jaundice still?? because my wee boy had quite bad jaundice for about 3 weeks after he was born and the health visator told me that green poo is the jaundice clearing itself.
babies poo can change, especially early on but at 16 days old its best to consult your health visitor just to put your mind at rest and be sure. good luck with the baby!
I'd check with my HV too. I breast fed all 5 of mine and their poo was bird seed yellow until I started weaning. In a healthy breast fed baby, the poo shouldn't really be offensive at all.

Breast fed babies can get bad wind and colic symptoms if there are not latching on properly though. Is he feeding well? Is it commfy when he is feeding, or painful. Ask to speak to a breast feeding counsellor if you feel you are not latching on properly.

Also, are you on medication/anti biotics. Sometimes medicating mum's can produce funny poo in a BF baby.

My hunch would be the same as Andy's; I wonder if he has a mild infection???
True about the Jaundice too.

Take it easy, and remember to be kind to yourself.
Hi, I know your original post was ages ago and I hope all is fine now, but just in case.. green poo and smelly wind is a sign of baby getting too much foremilk and not enough hindmilk.
