i have just seen a tv programme about life in a womens prison, it is hard the women have to wear prison uniform, long sleeve navy blue shirts and skirt, the prisoners are woken up at 6am with a loud hooter and bells, after uniform inspection those that are working go to work, those that are not are locked in their cells, at 12 am lunch the women get their lunch and are then locked in their cells, at 2 pm exercise 3pm cell inspection the womens cells are inspected, they MUST be clean and tidy 4pm dinner in cell 415 pm lock up the women are locked in their cells for the night, 9pm lights out , i know these women have done wrong and they deserve to be punished but it was difficult to not feel sorry for them what do you think ?
Many women are up at 6 am every day, looking after the children, going to work all day, spending evenings and weekends caring for the family, doing the housework, the laundry, cooking, making ends meet. Stuck in the house during the evening if they can't get childcare.
Dealing with the every day problems of life.
That prison routine doesn't seem arduous to me.
I don't feel sorry for them - why should I? They have committed a crime and must be punished - if truth be known, some of these women are probably better off in prison than they would be in the outside world.
This prison routine is not dissimilar to a routine that I had to experience when I did my National Service many years ago. There is nothing wrong with a disciplined life. It can produce positive influences on a person's future life. These prisoners do not deserve anyone's sympathy at all.
They must have done something very serious to be locked up for most of the day.
Don't they have jobs in prison these days, and I don't mean sewing mailbags?
Don't they have jobs in prison these days, and I don't mean sewing mailbags? and as TTT alleges, fevva beds n all, and caviar
er no they dont - the reality ( off AB-world ) is quite deifferent
Depressing "he did not do it and they KNEW" program on Stephen Kiscko who did NOT kill little Leslie Molseed - and the evidence was there at the time ( no wiggly things) and doctors on hand who knew the significance ( and were never called) -
Everone having their say - including the ones who get fired over it
