hi, my other half says stress during pregnancy can cause her to go into labour up to THREE months early - surely not?? i don't remember reading this anywhere.. what do u reckon?

yes, its true. Stess is not good for pregnant mothers. Tread softly.....congratulations!
stress can be a factor, but not usually the only reason. normally a medical condition is an underlying factor for premature births.
stress can lead to high blood pressure. BP is checked at every single ante-natal appt because it can be so dangerous. Unchecked high blood pressure can lead to pre-eclampsia which can be very serious (potenitally fatal) for both mother and child, and pre-eclamapsia is a common cause of premature delivery.
I don't know about three months early but stress should strictly be avoided, the answers above are correct, it is dangerous for both mum and baby.
