my 7 month old refuses to drink milk from his beaker. it is not as though he is addicted to the breast, he loves his solid food and doesn't seem too bothered about milk feeds in general. he just point blank refuses milk from a beaker. any suggestions?

Mine was exactly the same, I eventually remedied it by offering it, if it was refused I'd remove it, leave a few days then try again. Took a few weeks but we eventually got there!

Good luck.

orangemart he could just not be a great fan of milk. If he loves solids you could introduce things like weetabix, milk puddings, cauliflower cheese, bananas and custard to get the milk down him. Give him rusks to dip in milk. He may not like it warm, you never know . You can use semi skimmed if you are concerned about the fat content.

don't for one second be concerned about the fat content if your baby is only 7 months old. They should be given only full fat milk until 2 years old.
sorry kick3m0n you are correct; I was forgetting baby's age

Hi Orangemart

My son is 8 months old and i had the same problem he wouldn't drink any fluids from a beaker. I was using one of the valve ones (non spill). I swapped to a free flow one and after a few tries he did start to drink from it. It was a bit messy because he enjoyed shaking it everwhere but it did work. He now drinks from the non spill beaker.

Just keep trying he'll get the hang of it! good luck
