sports night

i'm a brownie leader and tomorrow night i'm doing a sports night with the girls. lotsa little races and things for them. stuff like egg and spoon races, sack races, three legged races, etc. anyone got any other ideas?

Hi, this week at our Brownies we did a bit of a football theme, and the girls really enjoyed dribbling the ball (used a small ball, not football size!) around small plastic cones in a relay race. Have also made small jumps in the past (with bamboo canes). Hope it goes well!

Also, filling a small cup with water from a bucket and carrying it about 5 metres to a measured jug (depends how messy you may or may not wish to get!)

what about making teams up and using a football to pass over and under the heads?

Or (say you have 4 teams) have 4 chairs in the middle each with one team member then asking them for an item of clothing or whatever and the first one to collect the item wins a point?? hope these are of use to you :o)
