Could anyone tell me the ways of going about adoption, i am 44 years old and my wife is 41 years old.
We have 2 grown ups from my wifes previous marriage.

Visit your local council's website, that will have info for you. Good luck, I think adoption is a great thing to do!

Just wanted to say 'ggod luck' to you both ~ have you also thought of fostering? there are many kids out there who need short term homes..which sometimes leads to something permanent :o)
make sure you are both in very good health.

I am trying to adopt too, but ambeing told that I have to wait as they have found thatI have high BP. Its not life threatening, but if they turn me down, there could be implications for me ever adopting from any agency/statutory body as all application forms ask if you have been truned down previously.

All very discriminatory, but just make sure all is well before you go in to it!!!
