removing fathers name
My fiancee and i planned to hav a baby so i done everything properly like checking when i was ovulating to make sure it happened. We found out i was pregnant and i was 5 weeks gone. He cheated on me with my best mate and left me when i was 8 weeks gone. I got into another relationship and he was with me through out the whole pregnancy but left me when my baby was 2 months old. I made the mistake of putting his name on the birth certificate and he doesn't have anything to do with my baby. I'd prefer my son to see no name under the father rather than someone who's not around. How could i get it taken off?

Hiya pinkfizz...
My knowledge of how the system work is very sketchy to say the least but I always understood it that if you were married then no, the man doesn't have to be there. However if you're not married then yes the partner has to be there.
from what twinx has said it does appear that partner number 2 was willing to be named as the father, though God only knows why.
I'm willing to bet that twinx is now bitterly regretting this act of silliness, I just hope that she can sort it out for the babies sake- imagine the confusion when he/she is older!!!
