Babys urine

Hi just over the last week or so my baby has a funny smell to his urine I dont know if it has anything to do with the nappy cream Ive been using but it smells very like germolene... Has anyone had the same problem at all ?

If you use disposable nappies and nappy cream you will find that the cream will stop the nappy from absorbing as well as it should. This means it sits on your babies skin as a barrier to the nappy.
Aside from this - if your baby has a strong smell to his urine he may be a little dehydrated or unwell and you should try offering him drinks of water in between feeds.

Hi thanks for your reply, I found out that he had an infection but a dose of Keflex did the trick.
