Hi folks,
Can anyone recommend a good highchair please? Some people have told us to get a multi height position one and others have said there's no need. I assume the height adjustment is useful as baby gets older and needs to be lowered closer to the table? Baby woodchopper is 4 months now and has good support of her head and so on.

Definately a height adjustable one. Ours was Mammas and Pappas one and the front tray came of too so that you could push them right up to the table. It wont just be your dining table either, think about garden furnitureetc I think they do them in Argos. The wood ones do look nicer but trust me there wil be all sorts stuck on it and we used to take ours out the garden and just hose it down once a week. . Another reason to get an adjustable one is if they decide to try and escape which both of my girls did they wont fall from a real height because it lowers right down almost to the floor.

I have a Mamas and Papas Prima Papa Evo, and i hate it! Its good adjustable wise, but by god i wish i had got a wooden one, I clean Emmys one everyday and STILL find bits of god knows what when i open it, its well padded but i found that part of the problem, there are just so many nooks and crannies, when we move I am getting a Stokke Tripp Trapp!
We had a good old solid wooden one, which could be taken apart to use as a small chair as our children got older. Note the plural tense!! Even when my children could no longer use it, we passed it onto someone else, and it's still in use! Look for something which is firm, and doesn't rock. Babies can easily fall out or tip flimsy ones over. Also make sure the sides are strong. If you look on the internet, there are many different ones on sale, but I personally think it's best to pay that little bit extra to get something which is safe, robust and attractive.
