New trick
My 11 month old is driving me bonkers!
Since she has learnt to pull herself up she keeps getting up on her knees to 'chat' to me at silly hours of the morning, the other night she was awake from 1am til 5.30am, its really getting to me now and today has been spent crying a lot as i am so bleeding tired!
Either tell me she will get bored soon (and mean it!) or have any solutions?

Cant advise at this stage but just wishing you well and hoping she gets a normal sleep pattern going soon! xxx

It does sound hard, but you need to ignore her - lack of sleep will not do either of you any good - though she can catch up later! Can you turn away so that you don't face her?, or stick your other half on that side of the bed! If she doesn't get any feedback, she will go back to sleep and you will be all refreshed and ready devote yourself fully to her every whim when you are all awake in the morning.
Hopefully it is just a phase - the earplugs were a joke btw - does she have a soft toy that she is attached to? If not, it might be an idea to try to find something that she can safely have in the cot that might amuse/comfort her to give you some peace - although, when you find something make sure you get two in case of accidents. You never know she may just be awake because she has teeth coming in and when they are through she may return to sleeping through. Could she be hungry maybe? Try an extra snack before bed.
She does have a couple of her 'comfoters' in bed with her, she is getting teeth but this started way before then, think its become a game to her lol
She eats quite a bit and feeding her when she wakes sometimes works, other times she has her feed, i lay her down and 'pop' she is back up!
I do have an awful feeling that this wont stop til we are no longer in the same room as her - god i hope our mortgage goes through soon!

Could you hang a mirror on the side of her cot, so she can chat to the girl in the mirror instead?
Could you fix up a curtain across the room so you can't actually be seen? Think four poster!
The only way we could get our son to sleep (by day) at this stage was to use his walking harness & actually fix him horizontally,if he could sit up, he did. If he couldn't, he slept.
The best bit of advice I was given (covering everything!) was "Remember,it only lasts 6 weeks" and it proved very true, very often.
Good luck.

What about a glitter lamp, bit like a blob /larva lamp but far prettier, it will give her someting to watch but relax her and yourself as well. It doesn't have to be near her it sparkles gently all around the room.
good luck
my one used to push her chubby legs through the rails of her cot on purpose and quite happily stay stuck until I got up and then that was it......partytime!!

Can't remember at what age I used it from, but I bought a 'bunny clock' for my son, it is an 'alarm clock' but bunny is asleep and then wakes up at the time set (seting it for lunchtime doesn't work though - I tried it!!) You then have to train your child to stay quiet until bunny wakes up.
It really worked too. You get them from catalogues (great little trading co is one)
Good luck, my youngest is 11 and it doesn't get any easier - just different!!!
