car seat nightmare!!!! HELP!!!
Hi. I have sent this post before and got some advice but things have got worse. My 2 year old son is wiggling out of his car seat and is actually at a danderous point. Yesterday we wrestled each other so that I could put him back in. I ended up putting the chair in the front seat but after 10 mins he was playing with handbrake and wriggling out. The chair costs about 35 from argos. Could it be the harness isnt that good-should I get a more expensive one?? Will the straps make any difference?? Please dont tell me to give him toys, books cos that last 10 minutes and then he struggles to get out.He is VERY strong willed and I dont know what else to do. PLEASE HELP!!!!

If hes not undoing it and is just getting out from behind the straps then you havnt got it done up tight enough.
Make sure he isnt wearing bulky clothes that prevent it doing up correctly. You should just be able to slip 2 fingers between his chest and the straps.
If he is undoing it then look at buying a more secure seat. 35 isnt a lot of money where seats are concerned. Take a look at halfords and mothercare and make sure you get them to check the seat you are interested in fits safely into your car. Dont buy without checking its fit first.

if you are adamant that you have put him in correctly then get rid of the seat and buy a new one.
Make sure he cant get out of it, there are clips that can be bought that hold the 2 sides together making it more difficult for baby to pull them apartbut there are doubts as to wether these are safe should baby need to be rescued from a car seat.
Still if hes out then anythings safer.
As soon as he starts to wriggle stop your car at the earliest safe opportunity. Do this for now, until you can get a new seat.
I use the Maxi-cosi XP which i find great, my son can get out of highchair straps but not these. http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/serv let/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_prod uctId_169693_langId_-1_CarSelectorCatalogId__C arSelectorGroupId__varient__categoryId_89376_c rumb_33949_parentcategoryrn_89376 it is possible to get these cheaper but as i said, get the seat checked in your car at halfords or mothercare
