I didn't get a penny from my ex although to be honest I didn't pursue it so he slipped through the net unscathed. Other people seem to be able to get away with an informal agreement, bypassing CSA altogether. However, at the other end of the scale I do know guys who are well and truly taken to the cleaners for no apparent reason and the amounts they have to pay per child differ although they are on similar incomes. It's a mess. Very stressful.
i am in the same boat as you my ex wont pay much for his children so i thought as you do. you here so many storys about the csa doing this and that and helping dads pay for the kids that i thought that is what i would do as i never knew when or how much i was going to get from one mth to the next. so i rang the csa and they have given me wait for it 20.09 a mth to bring two kids up on. but my ex was paying around 100.00 to 160.00 so why do we both with csa.
hi there
ABSOLUTLY!!!! CSA in my eyes are just a waste of time, id rather live without his money. It took me 2 years to get 55.00 pound a week out of him and he still refused to pay it, phone call after phone call. All i can say is if they do not want to pay for there kids they have no roght to see them until they can prove they are a responsible parent and provide for there kids!!
