i would really look at 2nd hand.
my mum got me one of those cheap winnie the pooh hauch buggies from bid.tv and it was awful. the first gale of wind and the hood was off
i bought my first buggy 2nd hand. that was a chicco that would normally be 450 and i paid 100 and that had the carry cot then converted into a buggy. it was great, it had only been used a few time and it was the same with me. I only used it twice outside and then invested in a pushchair that wil last me years. so really if its a first buggy you might find that they are newer than you would expect as me and most of my friends found they got expensive travel systems then used their pushchair the most
you could try and look for voucher codes online www.hotukdeals.com is a good site for getting money off places like mothercare.
but really it depends where you live, weather, roads, size of car boot etc. where we stay its gale force winds most of the year, rain, we don't have pavements so i was needing a good buggy that can go over the country roads here
I ended up going for the silver cross salsa. it has good wheels for the roads, the hood doesn't blow off when windy. came with raincover. and was reduced from 115 to 100
my friend got the maclared thats normally 145 for 85 she waited till it had 20% off in the sale then she found voucher codes for free delivery and she got a good deal at mothercare
