I have the Tommee Tippee steam steriliser and it says just to clean with citric acid every 4 weeks. I have bought some citric acid from the chemist but its not specifically for sterilising so im unsure how to do it. Does anyone else use citric acid? How should I do it? How much should I use? Thanks

the citric acid is to clean the steriliser!!! not the bottles!

please dont even think about immersing the bottles into it.
As redcrx says ^^
Its for descaling the steriliser. Is this what you meant?

Is the citric acid in powder form? If so, you mix a tiny amount with about a pint of water, pour it into the steriliser and set it going for 3 minutes. Then turn it off at the plug, leave for half an hour, then rinse it all out really thoroughly.
WITHOUT the bottles in! I thought I should just add that!
I hope she comes back to read these answers....
