1 Year old trying a little alcohol!

Is there any short or long term health implications of a 1 year old enjoying a taste (couple spoonfuls) of Guiness?

Strange it must sound, i thought so too when my friend told me that's what her son enjoy's! Does anyone know why a child this young would like this?

i think every parent i know as at 1 point or another let there child have a sip of there drink and believe me, i know alot of parents lol. i think most kids don't like it anyway lol or they pretend they do cos its a grown up thing to do lol. its not like most of the people who have commented on this is giving there children a pint or 2 so i think them people what has critized is going a bit too far. as for when i was growing up, i always had a sip of my dads beer at chrimbo and its never done me any harm . i think if ya let em have a sip or 2 when there younger , there not going to go mad with it when there allowed to cos its nothing new to them and i don't mean go over board and let them have half a pint to them whats thinking oooooooo thats disgusting and i should be loacked up for even thinking about it lol. but come off it its soooooo not gonna pickle there liver !
