Hi, where is the best place for my daughter to buy her 2 yr old daughter trainer pants, and what price are we looking at as she cant afford much being on benefits. Thank you,.PS ive looked on e-bay, so is there anywhere else i can try. Thanks
Is she ready to be toilet trained? My daughter was gone 3 before she was ready!
Anyhoo, i didn't bother with trainer pants, or even up nappy type ones. I just launched straight into knickers. I found the process a whole lot easier when she found out how yucky, wet and clammy a wet pair of knickers felt!
is she potty training ?
the absorbency pants are generally perceived to be a bit useless as they leak.
at two years old the pull up nappies should be fine until she starts potty training, but from then on my experience has been to go with normal knickers all the way with continuous and regular toilet trips throughout the day and just accept a few accidents might happen. take spare keks everywhere.
The best way to toilet train is to get an older child to show the younger one 'how to do it'. As long as the child is old enough they will want to copy the older friend. I did this with both of mine and never had any 'accidents'. They were each just over 2 years old.
I would not bother with trainer pants, especially if money is tight. With children you have to be prepared for spillages anyway. If your child can tell you when she is about to do a wee then she is ready, poos are always more difficult for them but conquer the wees first. Its a good idea when they are toilet training to carry a potty round with you in a bag, in the car or push chair, as you usually dont get much notice to start with, and obviously have spare clothes at all times!!!
Being a childcare worked myself i say buy loads of normal knickers and have a long weekend tackling potty trainin if shes ready and open to it... yeah messy but the feeling of it wont be nice and will, hopefully, encourage her to be more aware of what is going on down there... therefore should help her along a bit more!
