Luckily I was in a hospital bed for my 1st (that's where I wanted and needed to be) but when my OH went out for a fag break, he saw a woman give birth on the pavement outside the womens unit. He said it was awful blood and fluid running down the road her screaming and her OH telling her to hang on so he could get the video camera on?!!

My second is due in 5 days and giving birth anywhere other than a hospital bed, is my number 1 fear right now!!

I was born in a wheelchair.

My cousin gave birth in the car...

a friend of mine gave birth on her bathroom floor with a sudden labour.

I was very close to giving birth in the carpark at hospital. If i wasnt sat down then i would have done. I dragged myself onto a wheelchair that midwife was waiting with and baby almost fell out as soon as i climbed onto hospital bed.

On the kitchen floor (moved there from the hall as we had just had new carpet put down) - it was all very quick (& I still had my trousers on!).

Hi zzz - didn't have the twins on the floor - the quacks watch your every move when you are pregnant with twins and they whipped me in to hospital and made me have a c section as soon as they could.

i know a girl i went to school with who gave birth in her closet. She was 14 and didnt want her parents to find out that she was havng a baby. At the time it was this huge scandal in school but thinking back now its awfully sad. She mustve been so scared :-(

I haven't yet give birth yet but i am due next month and i hope i give birth in a hospital lol. But my mum gave birth to me on her sofa lol
