What are people's stories of how to tell if your baby is a boy or a girl?

I was seriously sick when pregnant with my daughter. Although I felt very sick with the boys I didn't actually get sick.

the ones that rang true with my kids ( i have a boy and a gilr) were.

weight put on face - boy / thin face - girl
brown nipples - boy / pink nipples - girl
no morning sickness - boy / morning sickness girl
bad skin - boy / good skin - girl

of course, they were all just a coincidence

The doctor just said what they were when they were born - a quick check down below then confirmed it. :o)

I've got a boy and a girl and my pregnancies were almost identical although I did feel sicker for longer with my boy, I never put weight on my face with either and my nipples were brown with both (LMAO TMI I know)

My first pregnancy I was carrying very high up and a nurse remarked
"That's a girl" Good thing I did not listen to her, I had a boy.

Too many people still believing in old wives tales!!, of course many of these predictions etc. are correct, about 50 % of them I think. Is that a coincidence?

At the birth of my second baby my fears and anxiety were forgotton about due to dr's sense of humour?!
i was lying their in thearte during my c section, dr mathers who was carrying out the procedure announced after some tugging "what flavour do you want it to be?Strawberry? then he lifted my baby up by her feet into the air over the 'green screen' and lowered her down so her face was facing mine albeit she was upside down as he lowered her to me, he said give her a kiss then, i remember having this - my baby being thrust towards me where i kissed her little head, which was covered in vernix, which smeared on to me. now thats a story ill enjoy telling her when shes older.

I went on a site re Chinese Gender Chart for a laugh. I was utterly convinced I that I was carrying a boy but the chart said it would definitely be a girl. It was right and I was wrong but hey, probably a coincidence, again.

I read that girls have slightly higher heart rates after certain no. of weeks (sorry can't remember the figure) so I often held a loo roll tube to my bump and counted. It suggested a girl which is what I had.

I had heard that as well Prudie as the woman doing my ultrasound told me as well. Somewhere on the web I came across an article that said that if there are more than ??? beats per minute you would have a girl. I counted and came to the conclusion that I would have a girl on that basis alone. Again, it was right and I had a girl.
