I think I do but my mother in-law doesn't. In case you're wondering about hubby; he's working abroad at the moment & we haven't properly discussed the issue. Wouldn't do anything without his full support.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I found out the sex of Mini Boo and I wanted to plan ahead with regards to colour of clothes, bedding etc to get (In my case- pink) and it also narrowed down the baby name list. We squabbled over girls names instead of both boys AND girls.
I personally believe that it doesn't distract from the 'surprise' element when they arrived- you're still gobsmacked and in awe of the little bundle.

Im on my 4th but never new the sex ov the 1st 3 but with this 1 i wanted 2 no .Some family and friends didnt want 2 no and told me not 2 find out i asked my partner and he wanted 2 no so we found out we r havin a boy .My mum tried taking me out ov it but at the end ov the day it was mine an my partners desion if we wanted 2 find out .
I agree with BOO ~ I found out the sex of my first baby, didn't with the second, did with the third, and didn't with the fourth (although I instinctively knew what she was;o) and that 'surprise' element was unaffected.
I was still in total awe of the fact that this baby had come out of me..and even though I knew the sex of the baby there was always the 'is it really a girl'? surprise factor after the event!
Each to their own ~ but I agree that mother in law shouldn't be involved in the decision.
