No kicking, no flutters - is all alright in there?!

Hey all
Hope all your pregnancies are going well and you new mum's are all okay.
I know I worry about EVERYTHING. I am 20 weeks gone now and whilst I started to get a few flutters here and there in my 16th/17th week (approximately), I haven't felt any activity in there for about 2/3 weeks now.
When I speak to women who've done it before they all say, quite normally too 'ooh you must have had the kicks by now then?' - and I'm like 'er well no, not one actually!'.
I can't help but think that they are thinking that's not normal. Should I be feeling more activity from my little one by now? If not kicks, then atleast lots of flutters?
Is it normal for the movements to come a bit later? Or maybe I've got a lazy baby?!
Should I concern my midwife with this? If you could let me know your experiences it might put my mind at ease?
Thanks lovelies.

Hi cockroach
Thank you for that link, I've had a read through and everyone is so different, it's difficult to tell if my case is unusual or not.
That website says if I haven't felt anything by 22 weeks I should consult my midwife so I'll have my holiday (am away next week) and see what happens when I get back.
Thanks again so much for that.

Hi Ellegirly,
Congratulations first of all.....
If I were you, I'd just put a quick phone call into my Midwife (no harm in doing that) I bet my next wage, everthing is OK but just for your peace of mind....
They can bring you in for a quick check up and you can hear your babies heartbeat....
That way you can enjoy your holiday without the worry!
:O)
Hope this helps!

Girlygirl is right, do it before your hols and then you will really relax. Anything you're not sure off just give the midwife a tinkle. Have you tried drinking an ice cold can of coke and a mars bar? nothing quite like a sugar rush to get them going. My sonographer told me that.
good luck i'm sure you'll be fine.

Oh thank you everyone!
I spoke with my midwife and she can't fit me in today :o(
But she did give me lots of reassurance and said that if I was further gone she would be more concerend, but she said it can be quite normal to not feel alot of movement until the 22-24 week mark.
I have my scan when I get back from holiday so she has suggested we wait until then (it's only a week and a bit away) and to really relax on holiday, she said the chances are if I am totally relaxed the more chance they'll be that I'll feel movement, as going about my everyday life you don't always notice the little movements that are already occuring.
I guess you have to listen to the experts and hope they know what they're doing.
My bump has got a little bigger lately so I'm sure there is something in there ;o) Maybe I just have a very chilled out baby (let's hope it stays that way!)
Take care all and good luck with your pregnancies/motherhood.

I bet you feel something on holiday. I find that home and works I feel faint kicks and only when I am relaxing, On holiday I kicked about all day as I was relaxing and literally naval gazing.
Oh and if you are going on a beach holiday and intending to wear a bikini and have a strange sense of humor like me, it is hilarious when you lie on the sun lounger, glance down and realize you cant see your own bikini bottoms!!
I pretended I was naked. Daft I know but it kept me amused whilst the husband enjoyed a beer!
