which class would be better to attend?
1 Answers
im 32 weeks and 4 days and i havent been to any of these classes that run. As ive only got less than 2 months to go im thinking i should start now incase its early and i dont know what the hell im doing!! Theres a "parentcraft" class ........although im not exactly sure what that entails and its in a community centre in an area i dont like so im a bit not-looking-forward to going there! Theres another class, "how to cope" or something, it says to bring a pillow and it teaches you about labour and how to cope. would i be missing out if i only went to that one? ive got so many books on breast feeding and i know they'll show me in the hospital anyway so is there anything else parentcraft will teach me that i should know?

They will go through all the different kinds of pain relief and different techniques to help you through it all. Like you say, when it comes to breastfeeding etc, the midwife will be able to go through all that with you when the time comes. Knowing all that you can when it comes to the birth would be a great help as you can prepare yourself as much as you can and knowing all the options with pain relief etc will help you finalise your birth plan.
