it can depend on your method of feeding. If you are breastfeeding it can take months to return whichis why some women in the past used to think breastfeeding a contraception of sorts.
I cant quite recall when mine return but i think it was about 5-6 weeks after my lochia bleed ended.
Make sure you are covered by a contraceptive if youre having intercourse though as its suggested that after a baby is a very fertile time! and i do know of a mum who fell pregnant within months ofgiving birth.
if you are concerned it may be late for a reason then take a pregnancy test

As the mother of two boys 13 months apart, I agree with redcrx. I was breastfeeding and never had a period in between. As it had taken 2 years to get pregnant the first time, we knew that we were taking a risk by not using contraception, but as we did want another child, we kind of took advantage of the post pregnancy fertility.
hi, i dont mean to worry you but my son was six weeks old when i fell pregnant with my second. i was told not to have sex for around 6-8 weeks after birth because i had a bad labour and section, but i didnt listen and now have 2 boys 10 and a half months apart , which i dont regret.
take a test, if you still dont see a period in a few weeks and test is negative see your gp to make sure there are no complications from the birth.
good luck
