Am I pregnant?
8 Answers
Hi,
I normally have regular periods. I am 10 days late, I have taken 4 tests and all have been negative. Could I still be pregnant?
Thanks,

Have you tried a 'first response test' these are expensive at about 10 but can pick up lower levels of hormone.
You should test once a week until you know either way.
And until you find out, watch what you eat, try not to drink or smoke just in case.

I do feel as though I am... but then I think maybe thats just my mind playing tricks on me!?
I have tried 2 supermarket home brand ones and 2 Clear Blue Digital ones. Tried at different times of the day too.
I have an app at the docs tomorrow - hopefully a blood test will be more accurate???

I have to say that youll be lucky if your GP takes bloods for testing. Even after positive results the GPs never double check.
I once went 5 months with no period and negative results on tests, my GP said 'avoid certain foods and asprin and wait and see' No test whatsoever!
When you say, feel pregnant, what do you mean? many symptoms are same as a period arriving and the sickness usually doesnt reeally kick in until about 6 weeks, if at all.

Clear Blue are pretty accurate testing devices. There are even tests out which react to the pregnancy hormones in a person's body after missing a period by just 24 hours. Even so, none of these are infallible, so there's always a "might be". As has been said - give it a few more days and try again if nothing's happened, but I seriously doubt that four tests'd prove negative if that wasn't the case.
