I have been trying for a baby for 7 months, so trying not to get my hopes up, but I am definitely late now. Sometimes my cycle is 28 days, but often up to 32 but has NEVER been longer than that and I ALWAYS have period pains a day of 2 before. I'm now on day 33 with no sign of any cramps or a period, but yesterday I had a negative test. I've also never had a period delayed by worrying, as it turned up on my wedding day!!! Can you get false negatives at this stage?
yes you can get false negatives as it depends on the hormone levels which increase each day from conception.
If you dont mind forking out 10 then perhaps an early response test may pick up low hormones but if not the best thing to do is to test every few days, first wee of the day if possible.
Thanks...I've just bought a pack of 2 tests from Sainsbury's for only 3.99, and it says it can detect 4 days before your period is due and is 99% accurate. Part of me thinks I should maybe wait until tomorrow, but not sure if I can!!!

Put yourself out of your misery and do a test!
I can remember what it's like even though it was over 20 years ago for me. It took me 13 years to get pregnant and then I had two lovely sons within 20 months of each other!!
