Ive just seen a one of the mums from school who said "you look like youve had enough" I said I have and then she went on to tell me her friend gave birth to twins this morning at 36 weeks, both babies weighing 5lb odd. She then went on to tell me she was about the size I am now!!!!! She also said she was about the same when she had her own twins a couple of years ago. They were a total weight off around 9lb.
I still have 13 weeks to go, Im going to be the size of a manor house!!
Anyone else getting told theyre big?
Hi Pippa, at 6 months I just feel like Im about to pop! lol I actually have a nice neat bump, all at the front, its just a big one! lol According to measurements from my second scan, baby is going to be a fair size :(
I was told today by several people that I have started showing now and you can really tell I am preggers, however I am not daft and know I am not big enough that anyone else would realise - to average Joe I just look a bit bloated! LOL (i'm 22 weeks)
My friend is 21 weeks and is having twins - she is ENORMOUS! The hosp have told her that the boys are too big and too active for their age and that the absolute maximum they will let her go to is 32weeks with C-Section, but it's thought that the little ones might come in the next few weeks. I keep my fingers crossed every day for her cos she has had Pelvic Girdle Wotsit aswell since 12weeks poor mare.
I kind of wish I was bigger right now, but know that in a few weeks / months I will be regretting saying that.
Trust me warpig, you are lucky to still be small. Having a big bump hurts already! I sometimes have to walk along literally holding it up because it so uncomfortable!
P.S. The sonographer said that he / she / it is a fair sized babby too, but just that they're sat really far back and unless they budge soon they're likely to cause pretty bad backache :-(
Now natalie, youve made me feel guilty for whinging! lol
I guess it goes to show that someone else is always finder it tougher eh? I also have pelvic girdle pain but seen the physio and so now know the do's and dont's and Im being extra careful so it doesnt get worse (fingers crossed)
She's a dosy bint, but do you know what? She's planning her next pregnancy and is hoping it is twins again because they want two more litle ones and then they'll stop! She must be mad.
Don't feel bad, although it's not easy for her, she loves it :-)
It comes underneath recent posts, called 'stylish maternity fashion', well , it does on my screen. Its just when you open the pregnancy topic not when you open a question.
Thats me that is, that girl, honest, but they airbrushed my bump bigger and my boobs smaller, otherwise its me.
My son weighed 8lb 7oz and a midwife told me he was a whopper. I told her that as I had previously given birth to a 9 and a half pound piglet he actually seemed a small, neat parcel to me!
I have always beeen told my babies have been 'fair sizes', Psy..I reckon unless you have a diddy 6 pounder they all say that :o)
Has she ever been assessed at a mental asylum natalie? lol If I went through what she is going through, I would never ever contemplate anymore. Ive actually already said no more because Ive had enough grief with this one lol
I haven't got any pics there Warpig :-(
She sounds hot though ;-)
Pippa, I just took it to mean bigger than a teeny baby! And considering I was the smallest baby in my family at 8 and a half lb, I doubt there's much chance of me having a tiddler! :-)
