Confused.....
Hi, can anyone advise me?!?!
Was due on my period 4/5th Dec, nothing came. I did a test on monday (10th), came back negative. Next day started with what I thought was a period, only for it to have finshed already (2 to3 day period unheard of for me). Also, I am never normally late. I've had none of my normal symptoms of period ie, cramps and choc cravings (both are very normal for me!!), infact have gone off my food a bit. But I've not had any signs that I could be pregnant either.
Has anyone else had anything like this? Don't want to go to the doctor and look silly!!

Your short period and going off food could be signs of any of them.
I once went without a period for 5 months for no apparent reason and went to see GP after 2 months. I was told to keep testing and eventually id get either a positive result of my period. In the meantime i was told to act as if i was pregnant and avoid anything harmful in pregnancy. Turns out i wasnt pregnant, never found the cause
Wait a week, test again, and avoid alcohol, cigarettes, pate, soft cheeses, asprin, runny eggs, and all the other things that are to be steered clear of.
I hope you get the result you want :)

Good answer. Leave the test for a while, and then try again later if nothing's happened. All sorts of things can delay a period - stress, PCOS, infections - or simply because that's the way you are. However - when I was pregnant with my first child, I was a couple of week's late & did a test. It was negative, and the next day I started a period. This lasted for just half an hour, and disappeared again. I soon found out that I was indeed pregnant. Nature can be a peculiar thing. Hope things turn out as you wish - x
