what are the best ways to get labour started?

firstly baby needs to be head down and engaged before labour is even worth starting.
Dont try if you are not at due date either.

Get on hands and knees as much as possible to ensure baby in correct position.

Many are old wives tales but some claim them to work.

Curry, chinese curry to be precise
long walks
warm baths
walking up and down stairs
sex
oral sex
orgasm
nipple stimulation, can take a long time
stretch and sweep, perfomed by midwife

there are many others, take a quick look at some of the previous thread in pregnancy.

me and my wife tried everything! THe only thing that worked was when I played liverpool fans chanting "you'll never walk alone!" on my phone on my wifes belly...within 5 mins labour started.

Even after 4 weeks, whenever I play that song the baby smiles...amazing!

Raspberry leaf tea - the tablets are easier than making a fresh brew!

Failing that try the two Bs:
Biryani and a b0nk

Or the two Ps
Pineapple and a poke!
