Ive finally remembered to buy some raspberry leaf tea, just wanted to know how often I should have a cup, I was thinking a couple of cups a day?

This next one is mainly for warpig as I know shes only a matter of days ahead of me. How often are you seeing your midwife now? I thought now Im 36 weeks, I would start seeing mine once a week, but I dont see her for another two weeks again.

I think the tea isnt as strong as the tablets so 2 cups a day increasing to perhaps 4 at 39 weeks should be OK.

What is Raspberry tea leaf for?
it apparently helps tone up the uterus, making contractions more productive and labour shorter.
oooh sounds good, may have to look into getting some too. thanks!
sorry psy, how was the check up? did she offer any further info on the chest pains at all?
Oh shoot, I forgot to get some yesterday, darn!

Psychick, strangely enough, I could have sworn in the early days that my midwife said that from 36 weeks on they would see me weekly but when I went for the 36 week check up she booked the next appt for two weeks later too. Not sure what that means, maybe things are progressing ok and there is no need for a weekly checkup, but I am still sure thats what I was told.
i am sure with my first it was 36, 38, 39, 40,41 and 42 (was getting fed up by then lol)

itll be different with second as i think they expect us to know what we are doing this time pmsl

Afternoon ladies, I did take it as a good sign that she didnt feel it necessary for me to see someone again sooner but just wanted to check. At least it seems to be normal and shes didnt just slip up and book my appointment wrong.

red, everything is going fine as far as shes concerned and said the only thing I can do is allow myself even more time when I have to go anywhere so I can keep stopping and starting along the way. My daughters going to love that, not lol She has alos said that the pain Im getting in the base of my spine sounds like sciatica and that, along with the PGP, is obvious;y making doing simple things almost impossible so I have to take things really easy from now on and rely on my boyfriend to help round the house in the evenings and at weekends. She also suggested I now get help with the school run, easier said than done! Im also measuring 37 weeks at 36 weeks. First time Ive measured bigger! So much for babys growth slowing down now lol
Going back to the original question girls - raspberry leaf tea's excellent. The tip was handed down to me, and I swear that I had two problem-free natural births, which I partly attribute to it.
From 6 months, I had 3 cups a day - but to Roomster - don't drink this tea if you're under 3 month's pregnant, as it can have the opposite effect!! It's said to cause miscarriages during early pregnancy, but helps with later ones.
Hope everyone goes OK - xx.
