My daughter (not the one who just had a baby,my other one) is 19 weeks pregnant and has developed chloasma. My question is will this disappear after she gives birth and if so how long will it take?

Reece is doing great thanks redcrx,he's put on about a pound in weight since his birth. My daughter's confidence with him is growing every day. I love it when she brings him round to visit,I can cuddle him and then hand him back when he cries.lol.
How is your pregnancy going? I bet you just want it to be all over now!!!
Thanks for the link i'll go and read it now.x
awww, it must be great being a grandparent and getting to hand the crying ones back when it gets too much lol

Its good to hear your daughter is settling into motherhood too, it is such a major life change.

My bump and I are doing OK, im checking my bloods 4 times a day and apart from getting lots of aches and pains in groin i havnt had any signs of anything happening soon. Baby was lying diagonally at last check up with no intention of engaging

Its a shame you have had so much to deal with during this pregnancy but you seem to be coping well with it. I always feel guilty when talking to mums who have had problem pregnancies because all 3 of mine were perfectly normal.I developed pre eclampsia with my first(then full eclampsia) but it wasn't a problem until 38 weeks apart from my daughter being small for dates(she was 5lb 9 1/2oz),and a retained placenta with number 2 daughter(sorted with minimal fuss).
Just keep telling yourself it will all be over soon and you'll have a beautiful new baby to cuddle.lol.x
daffy, I had a great first pregnancy and so although i may complain about aches and pains etc with this one i think ive got it easy compared to so many.

Pre eclampsia and eclampsia are very scary conditions, im glad all was well for you, the retained placenta if dealt with at the time is much better than them not realising and at least after the birth your mind is preoccupied i suppose. Still, not a very nice thing to go through either way though.
