Infant Milk

Does anyone have any advice about what milk to use with newborns? I used Cow and Gate with my daughter qho is 6 but a few of my friends that have had babies since have used Aptamil. I was just going to use Cow & Gate again as I was happy with it but im not sure if this Aptamil is better? I know its more expensive dont know whether that makes a difference or not?

I can't help with the two brands you have mentioned as I used SMA with my first two children and I breast fed the 3rd. I think most baby milk formulas (newborn type) are basically the same unless you use soya milk.

I would suggest trying what one you want to try, if it agrees with baby, stick with it. I used Farleys for my first after trying SMA. With my second Farleys didnt agree with her so tried Aptamil next which was fine and I have stuck to it. I have found it is only �1 more than Cow & Gate or SMA.

Every baby is different so it will be a case of trying and seeing.

i used sma with both mine. they both took to it ok, i think it depends on baby

Of course it is up to you how you feed your baby but i would say the best milk is for your baby is your breast milk, which is made especially for him/her. if you choose to bottle feed then i would say it probably doesnt matter as i expect they are all very similar, good luck

I imagine they are all much of a muchness. The piglet is on Cow & Gate but, that said, she will drink anything, her dad bought the wrong stuff and she didn't seem to notice any difference. As long as the baby is happy and well fed that is what is important.

To be honest, I picked what brand I wanted to use by where I was going to buy it from. As I live in a small town, I picked a brand that was in most shops including the local shop (in case I ran out) x
